This is one of the first studies painted on primed paper in the Sex Cells series.  This series has been a challenge to figure out the best technique or way they should be created.  I really love drawing small thumbnails sketches in my sketchbooks, they're also fun to make as really clean digital vector graphics, but painting them seems to not give me the same satisfaction while creating them, but the end result is still pretty satisfying. Maybe they just need to be on a mural size scale.

This whole series revolves around the microscopic world of cells and the creation and exchange of molecules within our bodies.  It's also an exercise in design with a strict set of rules to explore within.
